Carolyn Pajamas Closet Case Patterns
September 11, 2016

Cannot say anything but praise for this pattern. It all fit together so smoothly to the point where each and every hemline matched up to the millimeter.
These fit like a glove. I will warn anyone thinking of making these that they really are true to size. I made mine in a size 6, top and bottom and they are very snug and form fitting. If you are right on the cusp of sizes, definately size up...they are pajamas after all.
In fact, the pajama bottoms fit so well, I am actually considering making them in a corduroy or moleskin and wearing them as regular trousers. Has anyone else who has made these had that thought as well?
Another aspect I loved about this pattern is that there is a button hole guide included, so it makes finishing them just that much easier.
The piping was so much fun to sew in. It was a new skill for me and I found it so satisfying. I used a zipper foot and had absolutely no problem with it at all.
These were a total pleasure to sew, and Im sure I will be making more in the future. They are rediculously luxurious. I would love to do a set in a nice slinky rayon.
One final note is that they do not give a cutting layout for directional print fabrics but you will still need the 5 yards. I had just a smidge left over with careful placement of all the pattern pieces.
